2011

December: 2011 Ended for Toamsz Adamek with a pleasant event. On December 18th Tomasz Adamek and his promoter Ziggy Rozalski took part in the New York Boxing Hall of Fame. Both received recognition and titles: Ziggy Rozalski was the promoter of the years and Adamek received recognition in the state of New York.

 

February: On 21 February 2011 was settled ONET Online poll on the Best Athlete of the decade in Poland. Tomasz Adamek took on the 5th place and received acommemorative statuette awarded by the organizers of the plebiscite. In total, voted Tomasz Adamek 210 813 Internet users.
 
 

January: On 8 January 2011, announced the results of the vote 76 Poll for the best Polish Athlete in 2010, conducted by the Review of Sport and TVP. Tomasz Adamek took 5th place and received a commemorative statuette Champion.



2010

December: 09.12.2010 In the Prudential Center, Newark  Tomasz Adamek faught Vinny Maddalone which ended with an effective KO in the 5th round against Maddalone. Wagers in fight were Adamek's titles.   IBF International heavyweight title  and  WBO NABO heavyweight title .

 

September :  On September 11th, 2010 Tomasz Adamek took part in the boxing hall of fame ceremony. Organizers gave him the title of the best boxer in 2010 in New Jersey and gave him a souvenir belt. . He is name is forever written in the gallery of stars among   Bobby Czyz, Arturo Gatti, Mike Tyson, Zab Judah, Imamu Mayfield, Jameel Mccline, Bruce Seldon and others.

 

October: Known as the "boxong bible", the prestigious magazine "The Ring" acknowldeged Tomasz Adamek. He found himself among four boxing stars of 2010. 

 

He was named an All Star in an American boxing magazine after beating Michael Grant. 

 

According to "The Ring" Tomasz Adamek was the 10th boxer without a weight category. Manny Pacquia opens the list. and right after him there is Floyd Mayweather Jr and Juan Manuel Marquez. 

 

Tomasz Adamek, as a former champion of junior heavyweight is now recognized in the heavyweight standings. Since his last fight with for points with Chad Dawson he won 11 fights in a row. This ring veteran was a challenger in three highest weight classes, which happens very rarely in boxing - writes Doug Fischer

SEPTEMBER: Tomasz Adamek (42-1, 27 KO) was in "The Ring" with the biggest boxing stars. Don Stradley, commented highly about Tomasz Adamek in a few categories:  talent, accomplishments so far and potential. 

 

AUGUST: 21.08.2010 in the  Prudential Center, Newark Tomasz Adamek faught an emotioanl fight with Michael Grant. Adamek's fight with an 20kg heavier and taller figher which would make him the biggest opponent in Adamek's history, lasted 12 rounds.  The judges gave Adamek a high point win  ( 117-111, 118-110, 118-111 ) Fight wagers were Adamek's belts and titles: IBF International heavyweight title  and WBO NABO heavyweight title . Despite Tomasz Adamek's weight and height difference he was able to defeat the well prepared Grant.  

 

JUNE: 28.06.2010  Tomasz Adamek received the Muhammad Ali Award funded by  Ed Kelly Sports Foundation.  Tomasz Adamek was the first Polish fighter to receive the award in its 36 year old history. The award recognizes not only great discipline in boxing but also in their everyday lives. 

 
APRIL  : 24.06.2010 Adamek faught in Ontario against Chris Arreola. He won and his points were (114:114, 117:111, 115:113),  He used his technical schooling, his dynamic and his speed against his rival. He protected his  IBF International belt and won the  WBO NABO belts.  Thanks to this fight Adamek was ranked number 4 according to BoxRec ( behind Wołodymyr and Kliczka and David Haye.) And he was number 5 according to the Ring Magazine. (za braćmi Kliczkami, Haye'em i Aleksandrem Powietkinem) in heavyweight category in the world. 

 

February: 7.02.2010 in the  Prudential Center Tomasz Adamek won a fight against Jason Estrada. He beat him on points  (115:113, 116:112, 118:110), defending the  IBF Intercontinental belt. Thanks to this fight in March he was classified in the official ranking in IBF in 6th place in the world heavyweight category. 



2009

In February 2009, a magazine “The Ring”, considered Adamek as the best boxer in junior heavyweight. “The Ring” is one of the most prestigious periodicals on boxing, which gives a prize in a form of a championship belt to the best boxers from the specific categories.

On February 27, 2009, in the Prudential Center in Newark, in the presence of 12 thousand people, (including about 8 thousand polish fans), Tomasz Adamek won his first defense of the IBF Championship belt in junior heavyweight, with an American Johnathon Banks by TKO in the eighth round. The polish boxer not only defended the IBF belt, but won the belt from the less important federation IBO.

On October 18, 2009, Adamek officially renounced his IBF championship title to go to a heavier weight class, and fight against Andrew Golota for the IBF intercontinental belt at heavyweight. On October 24, in Lodz, Adamek defeated Golota by technical knockout in the fifth round



2008

December 11, 2008, in Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, Adamek defeated Steve Cunningham in fight for the title of the champion of the world of IBF at junior heavyweight category.





2007

On January 6, 2007, Adamek received 4th place in the seventy-second edition of plebiscite Przeglądu Sportowego for the best polish athlete in the year of 2006.

On March 9, 2007, during the boxing gala in Katowice, Tomasz Adamek defeated Luis Pineda in seventh round by TKO, and received the title of the world champion of the federation IBO in junior heavyweight category.



2006

On January 7, 2006, during gala in Warsaw, Adamek received a statue for taking a second place on the seventy-first edition of plebiscite Przeglądu Sportowego for the best polish athlete in the year of 2005.



2005

On May 21, 2005, Tomasz Adamek fought against Australian Paul Briggs for the WBC Champion belt. After 12 rounds, in a ratio two to tie, makes him a winner. Adamek is the first polish boxer in history who got the Champion of the World Federation WBC belt at middleweight.



2004

April 17, 2004, Tomasz Adamek, after the victory against Russian- Gabraił Gabraiłow (TKO in 5th round) won intercontinental championship WBO federation.



2003

On October 4, 2003, after the victory with an American- Edem Dalton (TKO in 2nd round), Tomasz Adamek gained intercontinental championship IBF federation.  





2001

Tomasz Adamek’s first difficult opponent turned out to be a Sicilian with Belgian passport- Rudi Lupo, with who Adamek won a fight in 2001, and winning the title of a little-known organization of the IBC.
